Carrie Cabell, CFP®, JD, MBA is an adjunct professor in the Master of Science in Financial Planning (MSFP) Program and in the CFP® Certification Education Program at The American College of Financial Services.
Cabell brings 25 years of industry experience leading large learning organizations including MetLife/New England Financial, AIG Life and Retirement (U.S.), and the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. Working with some of the best in the business – captive agents, financial planners, estate planning attorneys, and product gurus – Cabell is passionate about making an impact on clients.
Her perspective on how best to serve clients stems from her own experience as well as thousands of people she has trained, stating that empathy plays an equal role to knowledge.
Cabell earned a dual Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and History with a minor in International Economics from James Madison University, achieved her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law with a focus on International Law, and successfully passed the Colorado State Bar. From there, she joined the financial services industry obtaining her Series 6, Series 63, and Series 7, as well Life, Health, and Accident licenses in five states. She later earned her Master of Business Administration from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
