In the 2016 James A. and Linda R. Mitchell Forum on Ethical Leadership, the American College Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics in Financial Services convened a group of financial services executives and leading academics to discuss ethical issues relevant to the industry today.
Specifically, the group focused on questions about which kinds of financial products should be allowed on the market. Fixed-index annuities and other products with increased complexity were debated from a practical and moral standpoint.
