In the 2006 James A. and Linda R. Mitchell Forum on Ethical Leadership, the American College Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics in Financial Services convened a group of financial services executives and leading academics to discuss ethical issues relevant to the industry today.
Specifically, the group discussed whether life settlement arrangements were a threat to the life insurance industry. Issues of corporate responsibility to shareholders and the public were also brought up.
