In the 2004 James A. and Linda R. Mitchell Forum on Ethical Leadership, the American College Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics in Financial Services convened a group of financial services executives and leading academics to discuss ethical issues relevant to the industry today.
Specifically, the group tackled the question of when and how annuity sales are ethical in the financial services industry. Other problems, including hiring and firing practices and corporate retaliation, were also brought up.
