Jeffrey Hatchman, PhD, JD, MSM, MSFS, MBA,CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, CASL®, RICP®, AEP®, is Adjunct Professor of Estate Planning at The American College of Financial Services.
Dr. Hatchman has held several senior management and executive officer positions over a career with New York Life. His areas of responsibility included life insurance, advanced estate planning, and working with subsidiaries involving the trust company and executive benefits utilizing COLI and BOLI. He consulted with clients on solutions in the areas of estate, retirement, and business planning. He was twice invited to speak at the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) annual meeting, as well as numerous company and industry meetings in the U.S. and abroad.
Dr. Hatchman serves on the board of SimplifyCT, a non-profit organization which provides income tax assistance for low income and at-risk groups. He is also the president of a local chapter of the American Society of Financial Services.
He earned his Bachelor's Degree at the University of California Irvine, Master of Business Administration at the University of Southern California, Master's Degree in Financial Services at The American College of Financial Services, Master's Degree in Management at The American College of Financial Services, Juris Doctor at Loyola Law School, and Doctor of Philosophy in Retirement and Financial Planning at The American College of Financial Services.
Additionally, Dr. Hatchman is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), and Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL®), Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®), Advanced Estate Planner (AEP®), and a Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI®).
