Alfonso Cobb, EdD, MSPFP, MSAT, MSFA, CPBC®, CFEI®, MPAS®, CSM®, is an adjunct professor at The American College of Financial Services.
In addition to his teaching at The College, Dr. Cobb is also an instructor of professional programs for the College for Financial Planning, an adjunct professor of Business & Leadership MBA Studies for Southern New Hampshire University, and an adjunct professor of financial planning for California Lutheran University.
Dr. Cobb is known for his analytical, hands-on approach to business leadership and team development through coaching, training, and continuous process optimization. Though officially retired from the financial sector, he continues as a certified professional business coach and a Managing Director of the Cobb Consulting Group, LLC.
During his career he served as vice president and regional sales manager for Charles Schwab and Co., vice president and national sales manager for Bank of Montreal/Harris Investor Services, vice president and branch leader and vice president of Diversity and Inclusion at Fidelity Investments.
As Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion, Dr. Cobb served as a member of Fidelity's D&I Senior Advisory Team and as an officially sponsored corporate thought leader for the firm. His team advised Fidelity's Global D&I Office, Senior Management Team (SMT), and other business leaders on developing and deploying strategies to support the firm's D&I efforts.
He earned his Bachelor's from Mercer University, his MBA from Kennesaw State University, and his EdD in Leadership and Organizational Change from the University of Southern California.
