Julia Lewis-Spann, FSCP®, CLU® is an adjunct professor at The American College of Financial Services. She brings over 25 years of financial services experience in capital markets (asset-backed finance), small business consulting, insurance, and estate planning.

Lewis-Spann earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology from Loyola University (Chicago), her Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Doctor of International Business degree (ABD), along with several industry certifications.  She holds Series 6 and 63 securities licenses in addition to insurance licenses. She also holds the Financial Services Certified Professional® (FSCP®) and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) professional designations.
 
Lewis-Spann has served as a visiting professor internationally with a cohort from Harvard in France. She has also traveled to the United Kingdom, Scotland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Egypt, China, and various countries in the Caribbean for research and workshop presentations.  As a parent, wife (now widow), educator, business owner, and community philanthropist, Lewis-Spann brings a wealth of financial, practical, and relevant knowledge that creates a colorful learning experience for her students.
