Katie McGowan, EdD, PMP^®, serves as vice president for institutional effectiveness and impact at The American College of Financial Services, leading assessment processes and procedures at all levels of the institution and continuing to build on a culture of continuous improvement and data-informed planning and decision-making. Katie also serves as The College’s Middle States accreditation liaison officer.

McGowan is honored to have dedicated her career to higher education, with two decades of experience working within higher education in areas of academic, student, and institutional support. In past roles, McGowan has served as an AVP, dean, chair, adjunct instructor, director, student advisor, and founder of an education consulting firm.

She holds a doctorate in Education Theory, Research, and Practice and masters in Higher Education and Diversity from Binghamton University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and associates in Human Services Organizations. She resides in Binghamton, NY with her two children and partner, Robert.
